The spectacular event, which combines food, entertainment and intrigue, left both the people of Vallarta and those who came to visit with a distinct flavor that won’t soon escape their hearts.
International Gourmet Festival 2015
The 21st annual International Gourmet Festival in 2015 hosted a slew of national and international chefs who wowed the crowds with their culinary talent. For seven days, guests attended cooking workshops, gala dinners, Sunday brunch and Chef’s Tables, hosted by each of the participating restaurants. The most memorable events were those where the guests had the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the best chefs on the planet.
A Puerto Vallarta Culinary Legacy
In 1995, chefs Thierry Blouet and Heinz Reize launched the first International Gourmet Festival in Puerto Vallarta, which has since evolved to include Riviera Nayarit and Tepic restaurants. Five year’s later, Chef Roland Menetrey joined them, and today the three award-winning chefs coordinate what is one of the highlights of the year in Banderas Bay, Mexico. The festival brings together a host of experts in the field of gastronomy, including chefs, sous chefs, restaurateurs and kitchen teams from all over the world.
Over the years, Puerto Vallarta has become synonymous with a world-class culinary scene and this event is just one of many that showcase the gourmet cuisine and mastery techniques available at many of the restaurants around town. The International Gourmet Festival Puerto Vallarta 2015 saw the participation of some of Puerto Vallarta’s greatest restaurants, such as La Palapa, Café des Artiste, Boca Dos STK and Hiroshi, who tempted foodies with delicious menus, intimate settings and exquisite wine pairings. The delicious action was truly a moment festival-goers will never forget.
