How to Quench your Thirst on Mexico’s Beaches

When you’re lucky enough to find yourself basking in the sunshine on a beach in Mexico somewhere a frosty drink is key. After all, the phrase is sun, sea, and Sangria. Nothing complements the midday sun and baking sand like lazing in a hammock, or under a beach umbrella, with your favorite tipple to keep you refreshed. Just remember your sunblock! Here are our favorites when vacation time rolls around;

Tequila Sunrise

Tequila Sunrise

We think that experiencing Tequila is a key part of any Mexican vacation, and when you don’t want to take it straight there are a few cocktails which really showcase it perfectly. Originating in the 1970s, this pretty cocktail is made by layering unmixed tequila, orange juice, and grenadine presented in a tall glass. Mojito

Mojito

Everyone loves a Mojito: light, refreshing, minty, and satisfying. This cocktail is stunning simple and effective with only five ingredients to it. Lime juice, cane sugar or syrup, spearmint leaves, rum, and soda water combine to make a slightly sweet and refreshing drink which is perfectly complemented with some ice. You can find Mojito’s all over the cities of Mexico, so be sure to grab one of these iconic and well-loved cocktails on your way to the beach.

Sangria

Sangria

Sangria is an iconic vacation drink which cannot be matched for popularity and potency. Originating in Europe this is a tempting blend of red wine, chopped fruit, and sweetened and steeped brandy. The version you find in Mexico, however, is lighter and more refreshing as
